Located at the very heart of the Starfinder universe, Absalom Station has been key part of the game’s lore for years. What is Absalom Station?
Absalom Station is a key location in the Starfinder galaxy, having previously orbited the hub planet of Golarion, which disappeared during the Gap. A colossal, high-tech super structure, in the current timeline it serves as a neutral port of call and is inhabited by countless alien species from across the Pact Worlds. It’s also home to the Starstone, an ancient magical artifact that both powers the station and serves as a Drift beacon that allows ships to reach it from across known space.
Home to millions of inhabitants, Absalom contains numerous sprawling districts, ranging from polished diplomatic sectors to lawless, crime-ridden slums. It’s a place where alien cultures mingle, megacorporations scheme, starfinders look for work and shadowy factions pull strings from behind the scenes. Over the years, the station has appeared in numerous Starfinder adventure paths and scenarios for both editions of the games, although there has not been any dedicated sourcebooks until now.

Final thoughts
Absalom Station has been a major part of the Starfinder universe for years, but it’s never had it’s own dedicated sourcebook. In fact, the closest we’ve seen is Incident at Absalom Station from 2017, which was the first part of the Dead Suns adventure path. Whether this new book will live up to the legendary star port however, remains to be seen.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this book in the coming months and will offer a full review closer to launch. In the meantime, you can learn more and pre-order your copy now via the Paizo website.
