Pathfinder Gets Blasphemous With New Adventure Path

Pathfinder Second Edition is about to take the plunge into one of the darkest and most dangerous corners of Golarion, with the Bastion of Blasphemies Adventure Path, a brand-new campaign designed to take players from Levels 5 to 13. The upcoming book is technically a continuation of the adventures that started in the Secrets of the Unlit Star and Troubles in Grayce adventures, both of which were released in May 2026 and, when run together, take players from Levels 1 to 5. That being said, you can also run it on its own without having played any of the previous materials.

Bastion of Blasphemies is currently scheduled for release in late July 2026, but you can pre-order it now from your local game store, Paizo and Amazon. Below, we take a closer look at this new creeptacular campaign for PF2E.

What is Pathfinder Bastion of Blasphemies about?

Bastion of Blasphemies is a complete adventure path for Pathfinder Second Edition Remastered written by veteran designer James Jacobs. The campaign takes characters from Levels 5 to 13 and focuses on the legendary, haunted castle of Bastardhall, located in the haunted, perpetually fog-shrouded nation of Ustalav.

In the adventure, players find themselves drawn into a centuries-old curse involving the Black Coach of Bastardhall, a dreaded supernatural carriage that emerges once every century and is pulled by a team of nightmare steeds and driven by a headless coachman. Players are tasked with helping an NPC from a once noble family who is targeted by the coach. In order to break the curse, players will have to infiltrate the sprawling, supernatural castle, facing down the dreaded beings that haunt its ancient halls.

What happened in the adventures previous to Bastion of Blasphemies?

While you can pick up and run Bastion of Blasphemies without having played any of the previous content, it is technically a continuation of two recent Pathfinder 2E adventures.

Secrets of the Unlit Star is a standalone adventure that takes players from Levels 1 to 2 and is included in the most recent 2026 Pathfinder Beginner Box. The adventure is set in the town of Grayce in Ustalav, where players discover a sunken temple dedicated to Desna, the ancient goddess of freedom and luck. Players must then locate a mysterious artifact known as the Unlit Star, which is broken into pieces scattered throughout the temple.

The adventure continues in Troubles in Grayce, which features six adventures for Levels 2 to 4 that can either be run as a complete, connected adventure path or as individual one-shots. Also set in and around the town of Grayce, players must take on a series of local threats, ranging from a mythical sheep-skinning beast and a municipal saboteur to a sudden sinkhole and a missing baker. In the final two adventures, they’ll face more difficult horror-themed challenges, including a haunted mansion filled with creepy dolls and a crumbling castle ruled by an unconventional vampire. Notably, the book also includes GM advice for how to link the final adventure to Bastion of Blasphemies.

When will the Pathfinder Bastion of Blasphemies adventure path be released?

Bastion of Blasphemies will officially be released on July 30th, 2026. At that time, it will be available at local game stores and online.

How much is the Pathfinder Bastion of Blasphemies adventure path?

The standard hardcover will retail for $79.99 USD. A Special Edition (with faux-leather cover) will also be available (although its price has not yet been confirmed).

Why we’re excited about Bastion of Blasphemies

  • Penned by James Jacobs: Having a campaign written by one of Pathfinder’s most experienced creators means we’ll likely see a high level of quality when it comes to lore, pacing and design.
  • The sweet spot for leveling: Campaigns that run from levels 5 to 13 are always a blast to run, as characters have plenty of new powers and tactical options without the overwhelming complexity and crunch of higher-tier play.
  • Seamless adventure continuity: Being able to transition characters straight out of Troubles in Grayce and drop them directly into this new adventure path makes life incredibly easy for GMs and feels like a smart move on the part of Paizo in terms of onboarding new players.
  • Gothic horror vibes: While much of the TTRPG hobby is focused on D&D’s upcoming Ravenloft: The Horrors Within sourcebook, Paizo has been cranking out creepy content for the past few years, and it’ll be interesting to see what they can do with a full-length, epic dungeon crawl through a haunted castle.

Final Thoughts

If your PF2E players are looking for an adventure path with creeping dread, haunted houses and supernatural secrets, Bastion of Blasphemies looks like a solid option.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the book and doing a complete review closer to launch at the end of July. In the meantime, you can pre-order a copy now from your local game store, Paizo and Amazon.
