Darrington Press, the publishing arm of the popular Critical Role series, has just launched a new Kickstarter campaign for their Daggerheart RPG. Backers will be able to get their hands on a series of upcoming Class Pack cards that allow players to easily track abilities, spells, ancestries, subclasses and domains, essentially reducing the need for an overly complex character sheet.
Notably, cards were included in the Daggerheart Core Set (which launched in May 2025), but as the name suggests, the new Class Packs are focused exclusively on individual classes, offering additional character options for a wide range of levels.
So are these new Daggerheart cards worth backing? Below, we deal out all the details.

What are the new Daggerheart Class Packs?
There are nine packs in total, one for each of the core Daggerheart classes of Bard, Druid, Guardian, Ranger, Rogue, Seraph, Sorcerer, Warrior and Wizard. Within each pack there are 76 cards, which cover ancestry, community, subclass and domains (notably, since domains aren’t class specific, the packs include the two most powerful domain options). Each pack also comes with a free PDF excerpt from the Core Rulebook with full rules for the associated class.
The cards in each pack can be mixed and matched based on character builds, and they offer options for Levels 1 to 10. The art on each card is taken from the existing Daggerheart Core Rulebook, in addition to featuring new illustrations designed just for the Kickstarter.

What are the different backer options on Kickstarter?
There are only two types of pledge to choose from. You can spend $25 USD for any Class Pack of your choice, or you can back all nine for $175 USD (a saving of $50 USD if you were to purchase all the packs indivudally).
When does the Daggerheart Class Packs Kickstarter end?
The Kickstarter will officially end on October 31st, 2025. From that point on, backers will receive their PDFs in December 2025, with shipping of the physical products expected to being in April 2026.

Final Thoughts
Daggerheart has become a bona fide smash within the TTRPG community, and a big part of its appeal is its streamlined design, particularly when it comes to character management. These new Class Packs look to further this approach, offering even more player options when it comes to the game.
If you’re interested in picking the new packs up for yourself, you can back them now on Kickstarter.
