Eberron creator Keith Baker is heading back to the crowdfunding scene with a brand-new project that blends gothic mystery, industrial revolution and the supernatural. First announced at Gen Con 2026 as The Night Market, the project has been renamed as Eidolon: The Ghost Market and is described as a complete “ecto-punk noir” campaign setting for Daggerheart.
Notably, the book is not an official Daggerheart product from Darrington Press, but rather will be published as a third-party release by Twogether Studios, the company which Baker founded with his wife and fellow game designer Jenn Ellis.

What is Eidolon: The Ghost Market?
Eidolon: The Ghost Market is a 200-page sourcebook and campaign setting designed for the Daggerheart tabletop RPG by Twogether Studios‘ creators Keith Baker and Jenn Ellis.
The setting takes place in the titular city of Eidolon, a sprawling metropolis built on the ruins of a massive cemetery directly connected to the underworld. The city is overseen by a group of powerful necromancers known as the Keepers of the Gate. Once they were dedicated to peacefully shepherding the dying into the afterlife. Now, however, they use dark magic to bind the spirits of the dead, forcing them to power industrial machinery.
The Keepers are also divided into multiple, tyrannical factions: The mercantile Castagars are vampires sustained by innocent blood. The wizards of House Antidora possess the bodies of their offspring. The Drakalovs are preserved by beautiful idols. And the Ashblind arcanists bind their souls to steel.
The book includes a range of lore, new Communities, character options, Adversaries, Environments, specialized Equipment and two full Campaign Frames: Boneriggers follows mercenary adventurers fighting to protect the worst parts of the city (channeling the vibes of Sweeney Tood and Peaky Blinders) and The Catering Crew follows heroic exorcists who must save the city through a combination of the supernatural and culinary skill.
When is Eidolon: The Ghost Market BackerKit launching?

Who is Keith Baker?
Keith Baker is an American game designer, author and world‑builder who is best known for creating the Eberron setting for Dungeons & Dragons. Notably, Baker submitted the initial concept to Wizards of the Coast for their “Fantasy Setting Search” contest in 2002, beating out over 11,000 other submissions. Eberron was officially launched for D&D 3rd edition in 2004, with Baker running point on the setting along with a number of other senior D&D designers. Baker also wrote several Eberron novels and continued to steer the setting well into the fourth edition of D&D.
Baker later parted ways with Wizards of the Coast (which still owns the rights to Eberron) but has continued to publish new materials for the setting via DMsGuild, including popular titles such as Exploring Eberron and Chronicles of Eberron. In 2024, he also briefly consulted on Eberron: Forge of the Artificer and wrote and released Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone under a third-party license, which he announced would be his last Eberron product.
In addition to his work on D&D, Baker has also contributed to several other TTRPG systems, including Pathfinder and 13th Age. In 2014, he co-founded Twogether Studios with his wife and fellow designer Jen Ellis, and developed a number of board and card games, including Gloom, Phoenix: Dawn Command, Illimat and TAZ: Bureau of Balance.
