The book features new character options, NPC stats, factions and locations, with the action focused on the civil war brewing on Cybertron in the early days of Transformers lore. What’s included in the “Transformers One” sourcebook?
The Transformers ONE Sourcebook is a tie-in to the 2023 animated movie and takes place on Cybertron in the early days of the civil war between the factions that would eventually become the Autobots and Decepticons. It includes:
- Stats for Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, D-16/Megatron, Elita-1, B-127, Sentinel Prime and his minions and a mix of bots and Transformers key to the film and the Cybertronian Civil War.
- New Influences inspired by heroes and villains, and new options for using your crew capacity.
- How to play a Bot character and ways to get your own Transformation Cog.
- Guidance for playing allies-to-enemies, traitors, and other complicated party dynamics.
- Ready-to-go locations from across Cybertron, ranging from the Archives to how to run your own Iacon 5000
- Ready-to-go locations from areas in the film, with challenges, story hooks and potential enemies.
Notably, you do need the Transformers Roleplaying Game Core Book to use the Transformers ONE sourcebook. However, if you pre-order the book from Renegade you can get a free PDF of the core rules.
This is something Renegade has been experimenting with over the past few years with other products and it’s a solid way to snag new players looking to get into the game for the first time.
When is the “Transformers One” sourcebook coming out?
Renegade Game Studio has not confirmed an exact release date for the book. It is, however, currently available for pre-order, so it’s expected it will arrive in early 2026.
How much is the “Transformers One” sourcebook?
Currently, the book retails for $45 USD (not including shipping, handling and taxes). This is comparable to similar sourcebook we’ve seen from Renegade, including the Decepticon Directive.
