After a record breaking Kickstarter in 2024 that raked in over $15 million in backer support, The Cosmere RPG continues to expand its reach. In fact, three new supplements have recently arrived on the Demiplane VTT, which remains the primary platform for new content via its “Cosmere Nexus” marketplace.
The books include a series of new adventures, along with updated monsters and NPCs set in the world of Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive books. Below, we take a closer look at what’s included in these new titles.
What new Cosmere RPG titles are on Demiplane?
The three new books on Demiplane include the following:
- Stormlight Scenarios: Features seven short adventures set in the war-torn year between Brandon Sanderson’s novels Oathbringer and Rhythm of War. Each is designed to be low prep and take between 2 to 3 hours to play. (Notably you will need both the Stormlight Handbook and the Stormlight World Guide to run the adventures).
- Stormlight Advanced Adversaries: This is essentially an expansion to the “Adversaries and Bestiary” chapter of the Stormlight World Guide and includes a variety of new foes that have appeared in Stormlight novels, including new greatshells and Fused variants.
- Speak the Words: Is a short introductory adventure for the Stormlight Archives RPG that’s designed for Level 3 characters. The story takes place in the kingdom of Alethkar, with players caught in a deadly highstorm and navigating between two factions in the midst of a brutal war.
How much are the new Cosmere RPG supplements?
The three supplements are going for $7.99 USD each on Demiplane, which is comparable to what we’ve seen with other products. Notably, these books are only useable on Demiplane.
It’s also important to note that they aren’t available anywhere else, and Cosmere RPG publisher Brotherwise Games does not have print or PDF versions of these books available, instead continuing to use the Cosmere Nexus on Demiplane.
Final Thoughts
There’s no doubt that the Cosmere RPG has had a significant impact, but it remains to be seen if it will have the longevity we’ve seen with other TTRPGs. These new expansions, however, are a step in the right direction and a chance for both new and existing fans to experience the game for themselves.
