So is this game of alternate history, horror and high adventure worth picking up? Below, we look into all the details.

What is Victoriana 5e?
Victoriana 5e is actually the latest incarnation of the Victoriana game which was first published by Heresy Games in 2003, with Cubicle 7 taking over the license and publishing a second edition in 2009 and later a third edition in 2013, all of which used the Fuzion Game System. As the name suggests, however, this new incarnation is bringing the setting and mechanics of the original game into the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition rules.
Like previous editions of Victoriana, the 5e variant takes place in alternate version of 1887 London where magic and science collide. It’s a world where terrifying monsters roam foggy streets, scientists channel eldritch energies, unique magical species via for social status and the spirit of revolution simmers beneath the gaslit façade.
Players take on the role of Irregulars – adventurers who operate outside the rigid structures of church, crown and commerce to confront threats both supernatural and mundane. The rules take the base 5e mechanics and update them for Victorian-era equipment, new classes, occult science and a new “aetheric” magic system.
