New Pendragon GM Screen Pack Heads to A Round Table Near You

Just as a knight is only as good as their horse and armor, a Gamemaster is only as good as the rules they have close at hand. Fortunately, players of the Pendragon RPG are covered with the recently released Pendragon GM Screen Pack 0- which you pick up now from your local game store and the Chaosium website.

The set, however, is more than just a pretty way to hide your dice rolls. It also includes a complete breakdown of the most important rules from Pendragon 6th edition, along with a GM gazeteer, player resource guide and poster maps of Arthurian Britain. Below, we take a closer look at what’s behind this cardboard Camelot.

What is included with the new Pendragon GM Screen Pack?

The new pack features a surprising amount of content, including:

  • A Gamemaster Screen: A three-panel screen that covers everything from the mechanics of hunts and battles to the internal struggles of Passions and madness.
  • The Resource Book: A 36-page booklet with GM and player aids. It includes a family history generator, tables for finding a suitable spouse and even a random knight generator.
  • Gamemaster Gazetteer: This 64-page guide provides a solid overview of the lands of King Arthur’s Britain and beyond, detailing almost every location featured on the included maps.
  • Poster-Sized Maps: This includes a large-scale map of Britain in the Age of Arthur illustrated by artist Francesca Baerald, plus a detailed map of Salisbury (an iconic location in Pendragon RPG lore).

How much is the Pendragon GM Screen?

The physical version of the GM screen pack retails for $39.99 USD (not including shipping and handling). You can also pick up a PDF version for $19.99 USD (the latter of which is available from the Chaosium website).

Bear in mind that you will need the Pendragon Starter Set or the Core Rulebook to use the screen and its accompanying material, but you’ll get the most bang for your buck if you also have the Gamemaster’s Handbook.

Final thoughts

If you are running a Pendragon 6th edition campaign, this pack feels less like an “extra” and more like an essential accessory. And while most TTRPGs tend to sell their own custom GM screens, what we get here from Chaosium feels like than just a cash gra and includes a surprising amount of additional content to flesh out your next campaign.

You can pick up your copy of the new Pendragon GM Screen Pack now from your local game store and the Chaosium website.
