Traveller RPG Rocks Out With New Infinity Suite Supplement

The Traveller RPG is about to trade the silent depths of space for a world of killer guitar solos and galaxy-spanning superstardom with a brand new campaign book that puts players center stage.

Entitled The Infinity Suite, this new campaign lets players take on the roles of interstellar rockstars trying to make it big and create the ultimate musical masterpiece while digging their way out of debt and dodging the chaotic realities of life on tour. The book was just released in PDF format on DriveThruRPG and the hardcover will be coming out in August but is available for preorder now from your local game store and Mongoose Publishing.

Below, we step up to the microphone and see if this new Traveller campaign can turn it up to 11.

What is Traveller: The Infinity Suite about?

The Infinity Suite is a 168-page campaign sourcebook for Traveller Second Edition written by longtime contributor M.J. Dougherty. The campaign kicks off with the players all taking on roles in a rock band trying to create the ultimate power ballad known as “The Infinity Suite.” The only problem? The band is 75 million credits in debt and on the run from aggressive repo crews who want their illegally modified starship back.

Hoping to outrun their problems, the band flees to the Islands subsectors to find fame, fortune and artistic inspiration. Unfortunately, the players soon find themselves caught up in interstellar war, fanatical cults, angry crowds and the perils of space travel.

In addition to the overall campaign narrative, the book also features a few new mechanical elements, including:

  • The Masterpiece System: Full rules for creating and tracking your own rock songs.
  • Critics and Reviews: A dedicated system for music critics to publicly tear apart (or praise) your musical creations.
  • Bass Battles: Mechanical support for high-stakes musical showdowns.
  • Megastar Points: A new progression mechanic allowing characters to build, spend and manage their galaxy-spanning fame.

How much is The Infinity Suite campaign book?

The PDF version retails for $29.99 USD (with fulfillment handled by DriveThruRPG). The physical hardcover retails for $49.99 USD (not including shipping and handling), which is comparable to other recent Traveller RPG products of this size that we’ve seen from Mongoose.

When is Traveller: The Infinity Suite coming out?

The PDF version was officially released on June 2nd, 2026 on DriveThruRPG. The hardcover, however, won’t be released until later in August 2026 (we’ll update with an exact date once it’s been confirmed by Mongoose).

Why we’re excited about Traveller: Infinity Suite

  • A unique new premise: The Infinity Suite definitely breaks away from traditional sci-fi tropes and is something we haven’t really seen before in Traveller or other sci-fi TTRPGs.
  • New musical mechanics: The inclusion of Megastar Points, music review tracking and composition mechanics sounds intriguing (although we’ll have to see how well these actually translate at the table).
  • A superstar sandbox: The Islands subsectors offer a ton of narrative potential, so it’ll be interesting to see just how players can explore this lore-rich area.

Final thoughts

As the oldest sci-fi TTRPG of all time, Traveller has covered a lot of space over the past 50 years. Yet it’s great to see Mongoose Publishing continue to push the game in interesting new directions, with both this new campaign and other recent fare like Cluster Truck. So if you’re looking to swap your vac suit for a solar-powered laser-beam guitar, The Infinity Suite may just be the ticket.

You can pick up the PDF now from DriveThruRPG or pre-order the hardcover from your local game store and Mongoose Publishing.
